As Legal Counsel for the Center for Legal Affairs at the California Medical Association (CMA), Joseph M. Cachuela focuses on CMA’s litigation and legislative advocacy, particularly on issues involving medical staffs, the bar on the corporate practice of medicine, and scope of practice. Mr. Cachuela works closely with CMA’s physician members, staff, and other stakeholders on CMA’s involvement in state and federal court, and on the development of healthcare legislation and policy.

Mr. Cachuela is an Air Force veteran and has a background in criminal and civil litigation. Mr. Cachuela is a graduate of the University of Michigan and UC Berkeley School of Law.
